BXI Foundation: Cultural Enrichment Through Education

5 Health Issues We Identified in 1,000 Students

Posted on

At BXI Foundation, we believe good health is the first step to a good education. During our health camps and school check-ups, we connected with over 1,000 students from underserved communities. These visits helped us identify common health problems that often go unnoticed.

Below are the five main health issues we found and how we are helping.

1. Poor Nutrition

Many children lack proper daily nutrition, leading to low energy and frequent illness.

What we do:
We guide families on balanced diets and healthy food habits through health camps and awareness sessions.

2. Anemia

Low iron levels were common, especially among girls, causing weakness and tiredness.

What we do:
We conduct hemoglobin checks and provide nutrition guidance and follow-ups.

3. Dental Problems

Tooth pain and gum issues affect eating and confidence.

What we do:
We offer dental check-ups and teach basic oral hygiene practices.

4. Vision Issues

Some students struggled to see the blackboard clearly.

What we do:
We conduct eye screenings and help connect children with proper eye care.

5. Frequent Cough & Cold

Many children suffered from repeated respiratory issues due to poor living conditions.

What we do:
We provide basic medical check-ups and promote hygiene awareness.

Why These Health Issues Matter

Children spend many hours learning at school, but health problems can stop them from attending, focusing, or enjoying their lessons. If a child frequently feels tired, sick or in pain, school becomes hard — and long-term learning and confidence suffer.

BXI Foundation’s mission is to help children stay healthy so they can thrive — both in the classroom and in life. That’s why we combine education support with healthcare programs, so every child gets the opportunity they deserve.
